CPI has four major assignments to the Body of Christ and the Human Family. These assignments form the building blocks of our organization. They are Parenting Education, Priesthood Education, Leadership Development and Personal Health Management.
Man has three fundamental components: the spirit, soul and body. This fact reveals that every human being has a spirit need, a soul need, and a physical body need; this includes your child. Until these three needs are met, we will continue to have counterproductive results in our parenting responsibility.
To succeed in parenting or as a parent, you must build the capacity to meet the spirit, soul and body need of your child. This is why it is dangerous to get into marriage without parenting education training. Currently, many parents are not even aware of the spirit and soul needs of their children. Possibly, they are hearing it for the first time. All their focus has been on the physical need of their child, which is tertiary. To raise a healthy child or what we call a total child, these three needs have to be met.
The inability to meet these needs is what is responsible for the parenting crisis the world is experiencing today. But our assignment at CPI is to help you meet these needs through these four building blocks:
Parenting Education is the study of the nature and nurture of a child. According to Abraham Lincoln, “the best way to predict the future is to create it.” This is exactly what Parenting Education will do for you. It is a step by step parent training designed to help you predict, raise and secure the future of your child within the 18 years parenting period.
Parenting Education is the initiative that will help parents adequately meet the tripartite need of a child: spirit, soul and body (physical) need. In conventional parenting, most people just focus on the physical need of the body, without realizing that the physical reality of a child is merely a “printout” of the spirit and soul. As real as the spirit and soul are, and even when they determine everything, they are the most neglected aspect of the parenting process.
Until you have passed through an effective Parenting Education training to adequately meet the spirit, soul and body (physical) need of a child, you are not qualified to risk a child’s life and future in the name of childbirth. In simple terms, you can never get it right without Parenting Education.
Priesthood is the first assignment of parenthood. Parenthood is beyond childcare and home management; it is a priesthood mandate. At CPI, we believe that a wedding is not just a marriage ceremony but an ordination service to ordain couples as priests over a new family unit. This is why couples need Priesthood Education before getting into the marriage institution.
To help parents understand and apply this concept in parenting, we have launched the Priesthood Education Initiative at CPI called “My Family Is My Pulpit.” It is founded to help parents focus on their families and win them for God.
Parenthood is a leadership commitment. What our children will become depends on the leadership skills we possess. This is so because everything rises and falls on leadership.
At CPI, leadership is not about position but mastery over self. We believe in parents becoming the change they seek, want or preach. This is why the aspect of leadership education we recommend first for parents is self-leadership before the other types leadership training.
A popular quote states that, “before you can conquer the world, conquer yourself first.” Another one states that, “before you lead others, lead yourself first.” Unfortunately, many are in positions superintending over others but have no rule over themselves. Until you conquer self, you can’t be a good leader or a parent. Note that your journey to leadership excellence begins when you conquer yourself (self-leadership). Until you conquer self, your life will be hurtful to people around you, including your children.
This is a Personal Health Management Initiative designed to build a disease-free society. It is a fact that good health is a fundamental part of our life. It determines our productivity and happiness. It helps us live in our mansions, stay with our families, run our businesses and keep our jobs. Once it is affected, everything begins to suffer. Anything that can be done to preserve and prolong it should be given maximum attention. This is why the Personal Health Management Initiative was founded. It is designed to achieve the following:
